The Variations of Nature

This year we began winter with a summer temperature. A beginning of the month of February with so much sun and heat seems strange to us, but suddenly the snow fell on us. Today many articles speak to us of the climate that is changing, that we have drought, that it rains a lot and with the torrents that form, many streets flood or much damage occurs. These articles remind me of the interpretation of Joseph the Righteous of the dream of the 7 cows and the 7 ears of wheat, and what 'Kohelet' says: 'Nothing new under the sun.' That is to say, there were always years with much or little rain, with drought or abundance, with heat in winter or cold in summer. Let us not forget that there was a time when the Bering Strait did not exist, just as the Bosphorus strait of Istanbul did not exist.
Today there are islands that did not exist, just as there are cities of antiquity that are sunk in the sea. In certain deserts and mountains, remains of aquatic life are found, and even fossils of elephants, crocodiles, giraffes with a great quantity of pollen, which affirms the lost presence of green and abundant forests. Héctor Navarro wrote thus in 2019: 'Due to the cycles the sun has, in which it emits greater or lesser temperature, we have the phenomenon of "El Niño" and "La Niña", which alternate every ten or twelve years. There is another cycle of some five hundred years: between the years 850 and 1350 the world lived a global warmth that climatologists called the "Medieval Climatic Optimum". In this era the Vikings of Denmark colonized Greenland, where they harvested wheat and raised livestock (animals for meat) where now there are glaciers. When the cold cycle called the "Little Ice Age" began, which lasted between the years 1350 and 1850 approximately, the Vikings had to leave Greenland, which was unfortunately uninhabitable for man. However, since 1850 humanity is again benefiting from a cycle of warmth provoked by the sun, which led to the immense scientific, technological, economic, political and spiritual development we are enjoying at present. In a hundred years the average life expectancy doubled.'
We know that one of the reasons for these changes is the path our world makes around the sun. It is not a round line it makes, but an elliptical line. Another reason can be the variations in the sun's radiation, like the variations in the energy of the centre of the earth. With our own eyes we had seen that water drained from right to left or from left to right according to whether we were 2 metres north of the equator line or 2 metres south of this line. It is supposed that the disappearance of the Maya civilization was the result of a drought that brought a lack of food, and this caused the struggle to survive that ended with its disappearance. The storms seen especially in America, the 'monsoon' rains seen in India and in that part of the globe, the excessive floods seen in certain cities of the world — all these storms are due to the conditions I mentioned above. Most of these changes of climate took place over thousands of years, but there were times when these changes also happened suddenly. Thanks be to God that man knew how to adapt to every kind of change of climate and of living conditions, compared to certain races of animals that disappeared for not being able to adapt to these changes…
These changes are not in our hands. What is in our hands is the fight against the pollution of the air, the pollution of the earth, the pollution of the water and the pollution caused by plastic products damaging the world. We hope that throughout the world the new generations will be wiser in protecting our world, so tired of being mistreated.
